Service 10 out of 10, food 8/10, coffee 7/10 value 6/10 due to small portions. I chose the poached egg on sourdough. They managed to balance and squeeze two eggs onto one slice of toast. Shame with better value it could be a great little cafe.
Wow, I don't normally write reviews for cafe's but here I am. The ambiance of the cafe was great there was both indoor and outdoor seating if you wanted to enjoy the sun. The waiter was prompt and polite and gave a great recommendation. The food was amazing, I'm not much of a brunch type of guy, but the eggs Benedict with smoke salmon was to die for. I'm a pretty big bloke and the portion size was enough to fill me up for the day. The coffee was also great, the best I've had in Port. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone for breakfast/ brunch and I will be coming back before I leave Port!
The proviso for my lower than average rating is that I like this place, it's food is good and they had new staff working there. However, of the three things I ordered for my son 2 were incorrect and one not jotted down. I was not angry about this as they were nice people and apologised for the mistakes rather than try to cover them up.Would I go there again? Probably yes. Would I recommend them? Yes. As I said, good food, nice staff it's just that my visit today was a bit of a pickle.
Pleasant all fresco eating with excellent coffees and delicious cafe style foods.
From walking into the lovely garden setting (with the waitress already following me with menus and waterbottle and glasses ) to when we left, it was an amazing experience. The chef was very accommodating with changing the menu to my dietery needs... Food tasted great, coffee was devine.
