Beautiful place to enjoy an afternoon cooling beverage with uninterrupted view of the river, lol windows were so clean I at 1st thought they may have been open and had to touch to make sure....Friendly quiet atmosphere
Great atmosphere, service, food and drink
3.7 - I enjoyed my Barramundi with Mushroom Ragout and Tomatoes. It was yummy. But the service was a bit lacking in that when we walked in, nobody came to greet us. They were standing around so we just approached them and asked them what the deal was. We chose to sit in the casual area, which was fine but the table was dirty and low, which made it hard to sit on to eat. The chairs were thatched...which didn't give the support needed to eat a meal either. It had nice views which made up for it.
Service is good and staffs are friendly, but the food is just soso. Ordered the Gnocchi and burger, the meat taste like frozen. Last time the risotto was not well cooked and the rice was still raw.
The atmosphere that Zebu bar are trying to create does not add up to the service (except for the lovely man serving us the food) and the food. Even though the staff (3 people behind and around the bar) were not busy they couldn't meet us with a welcome, rather more of an awkward hello and we had to great them and say that we were looking to have some dinner. After that the man behind the bar pointed at one menu and asked us to order at the bar I felt a bit confused, feeling that this sort of restaurant should be taking our order at our table and not by the bar like a fast food restaurant. Food was average and tap water was served in plastic cups... Walking around port macquarie after leaving Zebulon we felt like we had missed some other great restaurants with better atmosphere and service.
