As soon as we arrived the guy behind the desk, who im assuming is the manager was extremely rude and unwelcoming. He was belittleing and made us want to leave. Unfortunately there was no where else available to stay in town otherwise we would have left. He was smug and seemed quite pleased whilst letting us know that there was a $2 fee for using an Australian card. Very odd considering we are in Australia. No wonder the place is for sale and they are looking for a new duty manager. Pretty fitting with how we were treated. Also very over priced. Do not waste your time on the horrible place, would recommend going to YHA backpackers instead of this place, at least the staff actually want you there.
I stayed for three nights at this hostel during the slow month of July and loved it! Renee was such a great host, very knowledgeable and totally invested in our enjoyment of this cute little town. It's clean, there's a free breakfast which is a nice way to meet your other fellow travelers and it's really close to the bus stop. They're also quite accommodating to late night arrivals or very early check-outs. Such a great experience, 10/10
Very beautiful hostel, great place to stay! Staff is really nice and the pancake breakfast in the morning is so good. Had a great time there!
This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. It's very clean (thanks Renee!) and the staff are amazing! I stayed there during the off season and extended twice because I didn't want to leave. This place just seems to somehow draw the greatest people and it's really easy to be social and make new friends. Also, free pancake breakfasts by Ester! I will definitely try and make it back there.
Had some great days in this accommodation. And found nothing to complain about. Everything was tidy and clean. They offered some really tasty pancakes for free and there is a lovely and friendly team which shows you around and is always there for some tips and good spots to visit.Would definitely go they again !
