Used conference facility. Unusual access via motel rooms hallway and confusing layout. Nice views of the river. Food excellent. Barista only available at designated times.
Great location next to the Westport and close to the carnival around Christmas/New Year's and just a short walk back into town. 2 pools, one of them shallow and suitable for young kids. Rooms were quiet and service was friendly. Strangely the bar next to the pool does not have plastic cups to use in the pool area.
Not bad on the outside but the rooms could use improvement. Tiny cheap TV, broken tap fittings and wifi that doesnt work. Buffet was good value for money though!
Best thing, great water view from balcony, BUT struggled up stairs and around corridors to reach our room!! No rooms available at street level. The dining room menu was misleading as to what was written on the menu and was was received, complained and had the manager repeatedly ask what is EXACTLY wrong with this meal getting me completely flustered stating YOU have to PAY for the meal, when the food hadn't been touched!!! Disgraceful to have to try and address over and over again why the dish was not acceptable!!! to the point of being completely abused. Such bullying, so beware, don't complain!!!Then had a bloody toe injury in the early hours of the morning in the dark because of a sharp edge to the tiles were the joined the carpet. Next morning asked for a first aid kit at reception, Wow! how poor was this kit one tiny square of Betadine, a strip of plaster and not much else, was suggested to go up the road to the medical centre, which was fine, but really needed some attention there and then. Where was the first aid person?Reception said dinning room incident was not acceptable and she would speak with management and get beck to us, NOTHING!!!! weeks later still no response. As I said the view was great!!!!
Love this hotel. Its right on the water so the views are awesome. Weather was great. Its close to everything.Make sure you book a room overlooking the water....worth the money.Ill definitely be back!!
