Had to get an order from the Residential Tenancy Tribunal to get them to fix a dangerous switch on the range hood. There were exposed live wires which posed a threat of giving a potentially fatal electric shock. This had been pointed out at the inspection three months earlier but I only got a commitment to have it repaired at the Tribunal hearing.However when our whipper snipper broke down we got immediate letters and threats in the mail. These people are very bullying and unfair on tenants.

Don't ever expect to get your bond back, it will be used to fix maintenance issues for the wealthy land lord regardless of how short your lease is. We had the misfortune of needing a 6 month lease while we purchased a property in Port Macquarie. My daughter had her foot damaged by falling rocks from a dangerous retaining wall, while trying to attend to the gardening. We got blamed for paint that just flaked and fell off the walls. All the repairs and so called cleaning amounted to the exact amount of the bond we paid, funny about that. They expected the windows to be removed from the frames to clean the runners. Screens damaged right up the top where they can't be reached were charged for even though they were damaged in a storm by throngs from a tree in the front yard. Great for land lords who want free maintenance but if your a tenant LOOK ELSEWHERE or factor the bond in as additional rent payable and don't bother cleaning or gardening it will make no diffence.

This is very important to us as we are both extremely busy professionals working full time. We did not choose a good builder. But we are very happy we chose an exceptional property manager. We would definitely recommend Percival Property management to anyone who owns investment properties. Michael Percival and his team really care and this makes all the difference!
