Best place ever for a family holiday. Affordable, clean, friendly staff. Close to everything. Not much more you could want.
The cabins are nice, clean and very comfortable. The pool is also great fun and the fishing spots are very easily accessible
The cabins were right on the water where you could fish from the balcony or the jetty, with lovely views of Northshore. Cabins were basic yet had adequate equipment. Our cabin was cool (mid November) where we did not need to use the aircon because of the lovely cool breezes. We stayed a week and unfortunately Friday and Saturday nights were sleepless because a large family group booked cabins all around us and kept us awake till early hours of the morning. We had a long way to travel home on the Sunday morning, so this was a real downer for us. Otherwise, next time around, I would ask for an end cabin or make sure that we do not stay over a weekend : )
This has now become my favourite place to stay when I am in Port Mac for work (3-4 times a year). I stay in a hotel room which is great for me to do my work in at the end of the day - a desk to work at, self contained kitchen, immaculate bathroom and room, spacious so I dont feel cramped, and a comfy bed when I need that. The river views are just lovely to see.
We LOVE Riverside Resort. Plenty to do or just sit and look at the water or catch yummy . In the two weeks we caught over 30 bream n blackfish and shared them with our lovely neighbors. We love Riverside so much we have been coming yearly and cannot wait until next year.
